Support answer · Using Your Robot
What are the handles and floats on my Dolphin for?
Short answer: An adjustable handle sets your Dolphin's waterline cleaning pace, while the Dolphin M400's side floats help it stay balanced.

The answer
What to know.
If your Dolphin has an adjustable handle, its position affects how the robot moves and cleans along the waterline.

Fast Advance: More coverage, less scrubbing time
Set both sides of the handle in the outer notches. The robot will travel faster along the waterline and cover more surface area, but spend less time scrubbing each area. Use this setting for a quicker, less intensive clean.
Normal Advance
Set both sides of the handle in the second notch, with the handle positioned diagonally.

On the Dolphin M400, the floats extending from the sides of the handle help keep the robot balanced as it climbs and cleans the waterline.
