The Quantum includes the largest MaxBin™ Ever. In addition to the included standard fine filter, Quantum introduces the next generation NanoFilter™ in a massive 400 square foot easy to clean basket configuration. This micro-pore spun-bonded polyester creates a tight structure that traps even the smallest micron particles. Quantum’s next gen filtration has a much larger surface area, capturing more waterborne particles while maintaining low resistance. Most filters capture leaves and large particles but Quantum stops pollen, algae, bacteria, pet dander, and other microscopic debris in their tracks. The cleanliness of my pool has been greatly improved, and the amount of time that I must expend to maintain a clean pool has been minimized. Yours is an outstanding product: works as is demonstrated. It is in daily use here. Its ONLY detractor is the tendency for its power cord to tangle/kink with repeated use —which requires periodic manual detachment from the control unit, straightening it's cord and reattachment. A retrofit for that would be appreciated!
From the moment I unwrapped it I knew I'd love it. What impressed me the most was the filter baskets, with its removable sides. Compared to my old Dolphin, that used a bag, the I had to empty, wash and scrub, what a laborious pain it was. If I had to mention a deficiency, I'd list the fact that the clean cycle is too short, perhaps there's a longer cycle, that I'm unaware of. I did experience a problem with the filter panels, that started disintegrating about a year after I got, When I contacted Maytronics, they offered to replace them as a one time courtesy Kudos to them!
I've had my Dolphin Quantum for a year now and absolutely love it. I run it year-round since I live in Florida. It performs beautifully and keeps the pool sparking clean. The only problem I have is that the cord attached to the robot doesn't swivel and you get a knotted, tangled mess. Otherwise it is a great investment.

To remove any debris or obstructions from your Dolphin's tracks, turn off the power supply and carefully remove the tracks from the unit. Use a soft brush or cloth to clean the tracks and remove any debris. Once clean, reattach the tracks to the unit.
