How do I set or change the Homing Wall?

Short answer: Set the Homing Wall in the MaytronicsOne app after 2-3 cleaning cycles, and change it only after the robot parks at its current Homing Wall.

Easy About 3 min Tools: MaytronicsOne app

Based on Maytronics support, updated 2026-10-12, rewritten by Poolbots' pool experts.

The answer

What to know.

Before you begin: Your Dolphin robot must complete 2-3 cleaning cycles before you set up Homing. This gives it time to learn your pool.

  1. Step 1Open the app settings

Open the MaytronicsOne app and check that it is connected to your robot. Tap the 3 dots to open Settings.

  2. Step 2Stand by your preferred wall

Stand beside the pool wall you want to use, facing the pool. Tap "I'm in Position".

  3. Step 3Identify the last parking location

Select the wall where your robot finished its most recent cleaning cycle. This helps the robot's compass determine its direction.

If your pool is not rectangular, choose the approximate spot where the robot parked.

  4. Step 4Finish setup

Your Homing Wall is now set. At the end of a cleaning cycle, the robot will park at the Homing Wall, using the compass direction explained below.

Changing the Homing Wall

The robot must park at its current Homing Wall before you change the setting. After it parks there, you can update the Homing Wall in the app.

Important: Homing follows a compass direction

Homing uses a compass to choose a parking direction, rather than targeting a specific wall. The robot parks according to the compass direction you selected. If it finishes facing the same direction as your chosen wall, that is normal behavior.
