The answer
What to know.
Pool size, shape and coating
Skimmi is suitable for outdoor pools of any shape and with any pool coating, up to 60 ft in length. For pools longer than 60 ft, we recommend two Skimmi units for the best results.
Outdoor use and sunlight
Skimmi is designed for outdoor use because it runs on solar power in sunny conditions. Skimmi 300 includes an external charger that allows operation in winter or when sunlight is limited.
Infinity pools
Skimmi uses advanced sensors and algorithms to work effectively in infinity pools.
For Skimmi (not 300), set Smart Detect to Avoid hose and cable in the MyDolphin Skimmi app. This turns on the sensors needed for infinity pool use.
Saltwater pools
Skimmi is also suitable for saltwater pools. Saltwater use does not pose a damage or corrosion concern.
