Is it safe to leave the power supply outside? What happens if there is a thunderstorm?

The answer
What to know.

Use your Dolphin power supply in a covered, shaded spot that protects it from rain, heat, cold, and other outdoor conditions. When using the robot's weekly timer, keep the power supply plugged in.
Mount the power supply on a Dolphin caddy, or put it on a raised surface away from the pool's edge.
Keep the power supply at least 12 ft (3.5 m) from the pool. It can resist splashes, but it is not waterproof. Never let it become submerged in the pool or in standing water.
Always plug it into an electrical outlet protected by a Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI).
