Based on Maytronics support, updated 2026-08-10, rewritten by Poolbots' pool experts. Applies to 1 model. Parts that fix it are below.

The answer

What to know.

  1. Step 1Wipe the Skimmi and sensors

Use a damp cloth to wipe the Skimmi's surfaces and clean its sensors.

  2. Step 2Remove solar panel limescale

If limescale has built up on the solar panel, gently remove it using lemon juice, diluted citric acid, or vinegar.

  3. Step 3Rinse the filter tray

Take out the filter tray. Use a garden hose to rinse both sides and wash away the debris. Then put the tray back into the Skimmi.

Off-season storage

If you will not be using your Skimmi for an extended period, follow our off-season storage recommendations. Before putting it away, charge the battery to about 50%.

Keep it in a storage location within the recommended temperature range of -4°F to 104°F.
